Coming to Vegas

Okay, you two. Here's the deal, the total deal. I am going to be in Vegas from T-day through Sunday. Since we talked about Friday being the day to meet up, I'll need to set a time. Let's plan for 2-4pm at Hills Park. I am not sure if Grace will join me or not, but I'll be there.
Here's what I need from you. Spread the word. Tell the old gang. If they can make it, great. If not, (sorry Jordan), we'll take good pictures/video. I'll have to find someway to get you my cell #, just in case parents want to call me.
And if people start this nonsense of, oh, I don't want to see "so and so" because we got in a fight, my response...That's garbage. This is about hanging out and remembering a fantastic year, not about foes, fashion, feuds, or other non-good words starting with "f". Tell 'em I said so.
Spread the facts.

10 things that bring me joy

As requested, 10 things that bring me joy. (Note: These are in no order. Listing them is difficult enough, ranking them would bring me the opposite of joy, unjoy, if you will).

• My bass (guitar, not the large/small mouth fish)
• My daughter's kisses
• My family (wife, mom, dad, brothers, etc...)
• My former students (all of them)
• A nice campfire
• My faith
• Loud music after a stressful day
• Watching things work out for people
• Funny things (Homestar, remembering events that were comical, etc...)
• The fact that my two year old refers to a "star" as a "decagon". Stars are flaming balls of gas in outer space and the closest star actually looks like a circle. She is going to drive her kindergarten teacher nuts.

All my students.

Ah, two responses from my student. Beautiful. Even though they are much older and wiser, they still take the time to drop a line/note/email. Thinking they are the only ones actually reading my blog, I feel safe to say .... 17! Actually, without getting overly sappy, I would like to say that you are awesome. It really makes my day when I hear from you. Even if it just to say "Hey!" It is still very cool.

The wife, the little one, and I will be visiting LV over T-day. We'll have to find a place and time to meet up if anyone is up for it.

You guys rock.

Let me give you my card

Hmmm. I just got my business cards today. Nothing against them, or people that use them, but I never in my life thought I would be in a job where I actually need them or even pictured myself saying, "Let me get you my card and we can be in touch." Am I that important where I need a card to give to other people? Am I going to meet people who actually want my card? I guess I am officially "turned and established". Crap, when did that happen?

Well, this is my first entry for my blog. This account took me about 30 minutes to setup and I am pretty sure that I managed to butcher most, if not all, of my settings. I know that there are some of my friends out there that have an account, but with such cryptic user names, I am stumped on who is who. That is primarily why I didn't use some odd name like, "dr._b_honeydew" (bonus points if you know who that guy is), or "why_does_captain_feathersword_even_bother_having_a_sword". But anyways, if anyone is reading this, let me know. My life in the adult world is becoming too adult.
